Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question please review our FAQ below. If your question is not answered or if you have a specific inquiry please contact us.
How do you tint a window?
The film has an adhesive on one side that is protected by a liner. A technician will remove the liner to expose the adhesive. Then they must spray a solution onto the adhesive to activate it. They then carefully place the adhesive on the glass and use a squeegee to take out any bubbles.
Is there a tint with zero visibility?
We recently came out with a black out film. It blocks light from both sides; however it is NOT available for automobiles. We recommend this film for commercial businesses.
Why should I care about UV rays?
All of the window film that our technicians use rejects UV rays. Overexposure to UV rays can have long-term effects on health, so this is an important factor in having your windows tinted.
Can I apply of fix window film myself?
While the installation of window film can be done by anyone, as with any repairs on a car or home, we strongly recommend hiring a professional just with any repair/improvement job. Careless installation can result in bubbling, pre-mature fading, and at times irreversible damage to your window.
Does window film reduce the chance of my glass breaking?
Absolutely! While not guaranteed, window film can certainly help prevent glass splinters in the event of an accident.
Why should I trust window film instead of tinted glass?
This is a great question and any buyer should be informed about this. Window film has the advantages of heat and UV rejection, which is not always the case with tinted glass. Window film can offer protection from harmful UV rays, extreme heat, and even splintered glass that could result from an accident.
Why is window film an energy saver?
Window film can cut down on UV ray exposure and heat tremendously, and therefore can create a cooler interior for your vehicle, home, or building. In the case of residential or commercial window tinting, the use of your AC can be reduced which can result in significant energy savings in both the short-term and long-term.
